Welcome to the Center for Ultrasound Research & Translation (CURT).

The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is a Harvard Medical School hospital affiliate, dedicated to excellence in clinical care, research, education, training, and community service. The Center for Ultrasound Research & Translation (CURT) is led by Dr. Anthony Samir. Our focus is on clinical translational research and engineering innovation in the field of medical ultrasound. Through tight integration between engineering and iterative translational refinement in the care environment, we aim to rapidly develop high-yield technologies targeted at key clinical problems. Our work is both highly creative and clinically-focused, and we have won numerous awards and grants to support our efforts.

In the past ten years, we have trained more than thirty post-doctoral fellows in translational clinical research methods, most of whom have gone on to successful academic, clinical, or industry careers. We are fortunate to have an exceptional environment, with first-class clinical research resources, an outstanding intellectual community, high patient care volumes, and superb educational opportunities available within CURT, the MGH, and the Harvard system.
